Studying Corrosion of High-temperature, Chemical Resistant Stainless Steels by FIB & TEM/EELS
Corrosion products on stainless steels designed to resist hydrogen sulphide environments at 600ºC were examined by FIB cross-sectioning and TEM-EELS. EELS near-edge structure analysis of the oxide corrosion indicates chromium oxide forms on aluminum oxide.
